just binned it today Mad http://forum.honda-forums.com/index.php?t=getfile&id=1018

got up this morning and had a good look at the weather and decided it was not as bad as the weather men said it would be "they had been a bit over the top lately" so off i went all ok untill i got within 6 mile of work the snow just hammered down, so i decided to carry on "very slow" all ok but 600meters from the unit and down i went "about 10 to 12 mph" the rear wheel just slid around and that was that Evil or Very Mad

had a look after and their was a recessed drain hole which started the rear slide Mad

thankfully the R&G crash bungs did their job very well and saved all the top part, the only damage is a scrape to the rear brake lever, a scrape to the exhausts mount and worst of all the bottom belly pan is worn through "mounts may hav been nudged a bit too will check when i strip her down"

to add insult to injury i binned on the way home too Mad

Feck, Feck Exclamation

Thumbs Down It's always such a bad feeling. Even harder to put your hand in your pocket to only get back to where you were.

Very Happy On the fun side: Looks like Father Ted influenced the popular culture over your side anyway...

hi,

yeh i'm fine Razz just a sore leg and a soon to be sore wallet

will just smooth off the can and foot peg but will need to get a new belly pan & crash bung.

i must say i am impresswed with the R&G bungs, did a very good job of saving the plastic, i hade a pair of magic mushrooms fitted to my last blade and they did not even touch the ground when i binned that one! "oh i do crash too much by the way, only two propers one and this slow speed one in six years of rideing"

ohh yes Ted is a fecking genius, where's that DRINK Exclamation

Is that a 929? Would a pattern race fairing do or would you like a proper one? I think David Silver Spares might have parts at 25% cheaper than most.

www.dkmotorcycles.co.uk - their breakers has online photos of all their 2nd hand spares including fireblade panels.

Would you mind saying what it was about DK that you wouldn't like to go back? I'm guessing that they are a large numbers dealer so that they might not care so much about customers on an individual basis. It's possible that they think there is another customer along in a minute so just step aside. Could it be something like that?

thanks for the info guy's Thumbs Up

all i need is a R/H side belly pan in black, but i will reep the dameged one of untill it's put up for sale.

in regards to the D&K thing, i,ve had two bikes from them and both times i called to check it was ready for collection and advised all is ok, 35 mile drive and hey presto it's not done Evil or Very Mad
two of my m8's have had this too, very bad after sales service Thumbs Down

in years past they had shit service but very cheap prices os folks just put up with for the saving but now they still have crap servive and the prices are high too, so they have very little to offer.

cheers damo smile
